Adriatic Sea Tourism Agenda was launched during Adriatic Sea Forum 2019 which was held in Ancona.
The initiative has been conceived as an open and shared platform of ideas, solutions and possible initiatives which targets all the stakeholders who believe in the potential of the sector in this area and want to be an active part in its sustainable future growth in the respect of both territories and local communities.
During the 2019 edition of the forum three technical working tables gathered together professionals in the cruise, ferry and boating industries and were the starting point for the Agenda, whose aim is giving operators the possibility to propose ideas, share goals, critical issues and crucial themes for the future of each sector in the Adriatic, tackle current issues and list recommendations and priorities as to foster the Adriatic maritime tourism development.
Besides presenting the initiative and its aims, the document offers a focus for each of the three sectors, by taking into consideration their current situation in the Adriatic, some critical issues to be considered and some possible common initiatives that have been discussed during the three technical working tables previously mentioned.
The Agenda aims to enrich itself over time with new contributions and reflections by those operators working in the area. The concepts contained in the document are just the beginning of a development tool for comparison, sharing and creations of a common strategy for the Adriatic.
